 Coven at World's End

read online

Novel in progress, horror/adventure, 150,000 words.  Coven at World's End is a town surrounded by a mysterious forest in an unexplored wilderness.  It is accessed by taking one path of a fork in a road that can only be accessed by the women who reside there.  Nearby Oak Grove is part of the ordinary world.  Coven at World's End exists elsewhere and its inhabitants are far from ordinary.  They are, in fact, the unwitting guardians standing between humanity and the realms of beings of which we are blissfully ignorant.

Imagine our world immersed in an infinity of worlds, most alien beyond imagining.  We seem to be trapped within our one universe, but if there are gateways to others, perhaps we are part of a larger biosphere of existence filled with symbiotic relationships and predators beyond our understanding.  Who would the predators be?  How would they harm us?  Who, conversely, would want to protect us?  Again, why?  What's in it for them?

Would we want to know?
